Things You Need to Know Before Visiting Oman

What can you find in Oman?

A trip to a place like this can only evoke adventure. Oman invites you to camp in the desert or on the beach, to do sports such as kayaking, diving (there are clown fish!), Ravines or hiking , one of the main activities of the country or of course going through tracks or dunes in a 4 × 4, synonym and almost patent of the Arabian peninsula. We can say that one of the advantages that Oman has especially to Muscat tours by free is that it is a perfect destination to rent a car and move freely, since it is an easy country to travel and above all, very safe.

Oman is a destination for English speaking people. It can be said that if you look for information on the Internet you will almost always see that most of the tourists (who are few) who travel there are Italians, French, Germans or Americans. It is clear that it is not a fashionable destination today, but I have no doubt that it will be.

A very safe country
Talking to other bloggers who have traveled to Oman, all agree that Oman is a very safe country. Leaving ISIS, terrorism or insecurity, this is not close to Syria, Iraq or Pakistan.

Transportation, how to get around Oman?
To travel Oman you need a rental car, yes or yes. Public transport is basic and therefore for a stay of less than a month it is worth nothing. A 4 × 4 is the best option, although the main roads and points of interest are connected by asphalt roads. The fact is that if you want adventure and access to the most exotic of Oman you will need an  all-rounder.

How to get to Oman
From € 350 you can travel from Madrid to Oman round trip, although the average is usually around € 500 . There are no direct flights, but with Qatar Airways or with Emirates we can fly via Doha or Dubai, two ideal places to stop over (allow Stop Over) and spend two days without increasing the price of the ticket. In our case it was the flight with Emirates, for € 500 (bought a month in advance), with a stopover in Dubai to enjoy the New York of the East.

Accommodation in Oman
Oman is not a cheap country and in terms of accommodation either. A normal hotel costs around € 30 , which is why many tourists opt for camping or even for Airborne, which is established in the country.

The free camping is allowed especially when to take a Khasab tours in Oman, so it's a good option if you want to save some money and especially if you want to enjoy the stunning stars of heaven Oman.

Oman in rental car
A normal car tends to go out at around 200/250 € per week, not bad at all, but a 4 × 4 more than doubles, about 500/600 € . Still, if you are an adventurer, the best option is the second, since there will be roads or places that you will want to reach and without it you will not be able to do so. With Rental cars  you can find good prices, as it compares the most important companies in the country.

It should be noted that cars usually have a limited kilometer per day, about 200km and depending on the rental agency you can add a roof ten (tent for the hood of the car), an invention brought from the African Safaris and that honestly, is the Most beautiful, appetizing and exciting option to travel to Oman. Usually leave for about 25 OMR day (or 12 OMR if you rent it in the same agency), so it is cheaper than a hotel (not too much) and above all, it allows you to sleep wherever you want. Let's not forget that free camping is allowed in Oman .

Weather in Oman
Being a very warm country, the best season to travel to Oman is winter, a date that also coincides with the high season . From November to March the climate is cooler, reaching temperatures of up to 25ยบ, the best time to visit Oman . Outside those dates, welcome to the 40th and even 50th, heat that can sometimes become unbearable but not unfeasible.
